Dive In: The Works of Michael Kirk

Ohio University Chillicothe’s Patricia Scott Memorial Art Gallery will feature an exhibition of artwork by Michael Kirk beginning with an opening reception at 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2026.

Michael Kirk is a central Ohio artist located in Pickaway County. His works are spread across several mediums: oil, acrylic, water color, and cut paper. Kirk’s pieces are expressive and exhibit movement. He focuses on bright colors, juxtaposition, and bold black outlines. His current paintings focus on abstract figures with repeating spheres and patterns. He starts his new pieces with a curiosity that allows him to dive in without knowing which direction he is going.
