Join the English & Creative Writing Department and the Latino & Latin American Studies Department for Poetry and Justice, a two-part series that explores how the arts can offer space to grapple with not only what it means to be human, but also envision pathways for social justice.

In poetry, artist harness the power of language to articulate their own consciousness of experience and craft narratives that can pressure who is allowed to “speak” and under what conditions. In part two of this two-poet series, critically acclaimed author and human rights activist Ana María Fores Tamayo will share from her most recent publication Peregrina/Pilgrim and lead us through conversation regarding human dignity, migration, and empowerment.

This series is free and open to all.
