The 2026 World Cup was a historic occasion for the DFW Metroplex. UTA Special Collections created an open access community collection to document the fan experience – from games to watch parties and everything in between.

Evan Spencer, outreach & instruction archivist, and Kathryn Slover, digital archivist, will discuss collecting and preserving materials from the community for the community. This collecting initiative not only captures an important moment in time; it creates open access to the stories and experiences of soccer fans from across the Metroplex and beyond.

Breakfast will be provided for in-person attendees. This will be a hybrid event.
