Valksgiving, a championship season celebration

THEY DID IT! Gabby "For the Gays" Williams & VB and M-V-Kiah and Tip & The Cheneral & Coach Nat are WNBA champions! The Golden State Valkyries just won a WNBA championship in just their second season as a franchise. What an incredible team, journey & community.

On Friday, November 13th, we're getting together for a little community celebration of Ballhalla, hosted by basketball journalist (and LE member!) Maya Goldberg-Safir, who has covered the Valkyries since Day 0 for her newsletter, WNBA Rough Notes. Bring something to share: whether that's a potluck dish, a favorite snack or drink, or anything Valkyries-themed. And bring your own creations! Have you been making bracelets, pins, stickers, zines, postcards, designs, homemade merch, or other little expressions of your Valkyries devotion? This is your chance to show them off and/or share + swap with other fans. Valksgiving is all about soaking in the love + community that has grown organically around the Bay Area's 1st WNBA championship team.

We'll also have the projector up showing clips and highlights, plenty of time to talk about the thrills of the season and some brand-new Rough Notes merch available for purchase, too! Join us for a little celebration of a very big thing, and all the people who made it mean so much.
