Join us for the launch of OX1’s Biotech & Medtech track with Dr Jeremy Duffield, Executive Vice President & Chief Scientific Officer at Estuary Biosciences, and former Chief Scientific Officer at Prime Medicine.

An Oxford medical graduate and Christ Church alumnus, Jeremy is a physician-scientist and biotech entrepreneur with extensive experience in drug discovery, company building, and development. He has held senior leadership roles at Vertex Pharmaceuticals and Biogen, working across technologies from RNA therapeutics to gene editing.

Jeremy will share his journey from academia to industry, drawing on real-world examples of building and scaling biotech companies, and the lessons he has learned along the way. We'll explore what it takes to turn breakthrough science into viable businesses, navigate the challenges of biotech entrepreneurship, and bring promising innovations closer to patients.

The session will feature a 30-minute talk followed by an interactive Q&A, offering aspiring founders the opportunity to learn from Jeremy's experience and ask questions about building in biotech and medtech.
