Laid Off & Fabulous goes Self-Employed Meetup in Berlin 5

Laid off? Same!

This meetup is for everybody in Berlin who is pre-, during, or post-layoff and for whom simply applying for the next role feels odd.

So if you are exploring Self-employment, this is for you!

👑 WHO THIS IS FOR

You feel that "yet another job" won't do it for them.

You feel that the layoff is coming and you want to prep your self-employment plan

Most importantly... you are thinking about starting something of your own.

🫂 WHAT WE DO

We meet at Amano Hotel Friday from 3PM.

No agenda, no judgment, no pressure. We share where we're at, what we're going through, and what's coming next.

What to expect:

→ Where to start if you want to become self-employed

→ How to embrace the CRINGE OF IT ALL - putting yourself out there to accelerate your self-employment plan → A chill, safe space to talk about next steps → Kind accountability check-ins → Shame-free real talk about your challenges → People helping people: contacts, leads, and opportunities shared freely

🦹🏽‍♀️ ABOUT THE HOST

I'm Anna, a Berliner for 16+ years.

My background is in UX research and Research Ops in EdTech. After I was laid off, I decided not to look for another job and explore self-employment.

Now I run Pollo Digital, where I offer freelance UX research, help internationals navigate layoffs in Germany, and talk openly about negotiation and what happens behind the scenes.

I also offer Visibility Mentorship and a Layoff First Aid program, and I'm happy to figure out the next chapter together with you.

☕ Please buy one drink from the hotel's bar to respect the hotel.
