Join us for a small and relaxed artist talk at Picaresque Gallery in Motoazabu, Tokyo.

This event is an opportunity to meet Japanese glass artist Asami Okumura in person, hear directly about her artworks and creative process, and spend time looking closely at her exhibition inside the gallery.

Asami Okumura will be exhibiting her solo exhibition “Days of the Sea” at Picaresque Gallery from October 14–25, 2026.

Okumura creates glass artworks using pâte de verre, a glass-making technique that allows her to create soft textures and watercolor-like colors.

Her works are inspired by the sea and living creatures, capturing marine life, peaceful interactions between creatures, and scenes from the underwater world.

During this 90-minute event, we’ll gather with a small group inside the exhibition space and talk about her work, ideas, materials, glass-making techniques, and the process behind her artworks.
