Building on the success of our Story of Bristol tours and our Monday Story of Bath tours we are now repeating the Bath walks on a Thursday evening. This is the second tour in our Story of Bath series. On these Story of Bath sessions Steve shares his extensive research on the history of the city. There is also plenty of time to chat about interesting finds that we discover along the way. Having discovered the Origins of Bath on our first tour we are now going beyond the city walls in search of the first tentative architectural steps uphill. We will hear of the people and places that made Bath's stylish reputation in the early eighteenth century. We will finish with the monumental works of the Woods, John the Elder and John the Younger. Come along and discover the Story of Bath. A Walk in the Past is a friendly group where regulars and newcomers are always welcome. Our aim is to combine a good walk with pleasant company in historic landscapes. A set of written notes will be emailed out to walkers after the walk. This will allow you to hold on to what you have picked up from our exploration of Early Georgian Bath.
