Fall Canoe Tour at Jug Bay

Explore the wetlands and fall color of Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary and the Patuxent River on a guided 4-hour canoe tour. You must register and pay in advance here: Washington Women Outdoors: Fall Canoe Tour at Jug Bay $25 for members, $30 for non-members Discover the abundant wildlife and plants in the wetlands around the peaceful Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Our tour guide will lead us on a canoe trip on the Patuxent River and some of the smaller branches to look for beavers, muskrats, osprey, bald eagles, red winged black birds, ducks, and many other animals. See the beautiful fall colors of the wetlands and along the river’s edge. The event includes: general orientation, basic paddling lesson, 0.5 mile walk to canoes, launching canoes, and paddling. Paddlers can expect to actively paddle for 2 to 2.5 hours. Canoes, paddles, PFD's (life vests), and guides provided. 1.
