Petworth House, historic Sussex villages, beautiful woodland and riverside paths

Join us for a fantastic day exploring some of Sussex's less-explored beautiful countryside. We'll follow the River Arun to the historic bridge at Stopham, before heading through Fittleworth Wood and the quiet hamlets of Little Bognor and Byworth on our way to the lovely market town of Petworth. After lunch in the stunning surroundings of Petworth House and its parkland, we'll continue through heathland and woodland, following sections of both the Serpent Trail and Sussex Diamond Way. With riverside paths, charming villages, green parkland and beautiful woodland, this walk should be a varied and rewarding day out. We’ll finish with an optional drink or two in a local Billingshurst pub. SUMMARY (all info is approximate!) If the hike is full, and you have messaged us and have changed your RSVP to 'Not going', we will refund you, less the PayPal/Meetup fees.
