We love a good catch-up over coffee or a hot chocolate. But this month, we're doing something a little different ✨ At Women in Tech Dubai, we love taking a unique and different approach to our careers in tech.

On 21st November, we're partnering with The Other Room Works for Own The Moment: Confidence & Stage Presence Through Improv.

Same warm, welcoming WITDXB energy - just with a free 2-hour workshop thrown in where you'll use professional improvisation to:

Find Your Voice: Quieten the inner critic and build the confidence to speak up, share your ideas and back yourself. Discover how improv helps you trust what you have to say, even when you haven't had time to prepare.
Let Go of Control: Practice responding in the moment instead of over-preparing or overthinking. Build the confidence to take considered risks, trust your instincts and handle the unexpected with ease.
Presence & Stage Confidence: Explore how you use your voice, body and energy to hold a room. Notice the habits that diminish your presence and practice the ones that help you be seen and heard.

Do I need acting or improv experience? Not at all. Designed for complete beginners.

Will I have to perform on my own? No. Most exercises are in pairs and small groups, and everything builds gradually.

Do I have to be funny? Absolutely not. This is about listening, responding and being present.

What should I wear? Something comfortable you can move in.

Is it free? Yes, with just a minimum spend of AED 20 at The Hood café ☕

Networking from 2pm, workshop from 3pm to 5pm. Delivered by Salman Qureshi of @theotherroomworks, with support from our own Maria D'Costa (Director at Women in Tech Dubai) bringing her own improv training and years of experience supporting women in tech.
