Event Details:
Looking to make friends in Tokyo or spend Sunday afternoon with new people? Join Tokyo Expat Social Club for a relaxed autumn picnic at Hibiya Park, right in central Tokyo.
We’ll bring picnic sheets, light snacks and optional games. You can bring your favourite drink, settle onto the grass and get to know the people around you. We’re starting at 1pm to enjoy the afternoon daylight and finishing before the evening chill.
Coming alone? You’ll be in good company. Most attendees arrive solo, including plenty of people joining TESC for the first time.

You don’t need to know anyone or be especially outgoing. The organiser will welcome you and help you find a place to settle in.
The picnic is open to expats, Japanese locals, internationals, travellers, students, remote workers and anyone interested in meeting people in Tokyo. Whether you’ve just moved here or have lived here for years, you’re welcome to join.

There’s no formal programme. Move between conversations, stay with one group, try a casual game or take your time enjoying the afternoon.
