A walk that normally forms part of our evening walks programme but on this occasion its being led as a short morning walk followed by the option of requesting a spot for lunch afterwards.

The walk starts from the New Inn, located on Eccup Lane and the postcode is LS16 8AU.

Our route crosses fields, picking up the Ebor Way with views across Lower Wharfedale, as we make our way over to the Harewood estate, passing by Emmerdale and back along country tracks and crossing more fields, returning to the New Inn.

The walk will be led at a steady pace: not too fast, not too slow. Please be ready to start walking at the advertised time.

Walk fee: £2. No dogs please. You can bring snacks/drink with you but I'm not proposing to have a break on this walk.

LUNCH OPTION: I'll be booking a table for lunch once I can get hold of the pub. If you would like to reserve a place, please post a message on this webpage. Please note that lunch places are limited to Group members who have paid their annual membership fee, therefore no guests are permitted.

I have no formal walk leader or first-aid qualifications and the Group does not have insurance. When you RSVP for any walk, you accept that you remain responsible for your own safety at all times. You are required to respect the walk leader and be mindful of the safety of others. Please keep to the pace of the group and don’t go off ahead even if you think you know the route.
