Welcome to the 10th meetup of Desert Movie Dames — a campy bad movie club for women who appreciate hilariously terrible cinema and want to make new friends in Phoenix.

Theme: Campy Supernatural Fun

We're getting ready for Halloween with some fun spookiness! We're taking on movies that fully embrace their own ridiculousness, because sometimes horror is best served with a side of absolute nonsense.

Join us for a triple feature of camp, chaos, supernatural weirdness, and cult classics as we celebrate some gloriously over-the-top movies: The Witches of Eastwick, Elvira: Mistress of the Dark, and Shock ’Em Dead.

Expect everything from witchy, self-aware satire to bad hair-metal songs. Whether it's Academy Award-winning actors acting unhinged or scandalizing small town, these films deliver peak Halloween nostalgia without any of the heavy slasher gore.

Giant teased hair, heavy makeup, and scandalous goth clothing are highly encouraged, but always optional! ;)

For this meetup, we’re focusing on 2 core movies for deeper discussion, plus 1 bonus film we’ll touch on more lightly.

I’ll bring talking points so nobody has to make up an analysis on the spot.
