Metropolitan Walkers is part of the Ramblers, Britain's walking charity. All welcome for 3 'taster' walks, after which please join the Ramblers - info on the Met Walkers website

Testing walk with plenty of elevation including Bignor Hill and a lovely stretch of the South Downs Way. Hopefully (weather permitting) good views from the Trundle over historic Chichester and towards the sea.

Brisk pace owing to lack of daylight, and please bring a torch just in case.

Pub stop for drinks only. Please bring a packed lunch.

Travel: Take 8.35 from London Victoria (8.42 Clapham Junction, 8.53 East Croydon), arr. Amberley at 9.58. Make sure you are in the right part of the train before it splits.

Buy a return to Chichester.

Grading: Strenuous.
For an explanation of the gradings, please see the FAQ - please consider both the length and grade when choosing a walk.

Finish point: Chichester
