Wes Anderson’s second film follows Max Fischer, an eccentric student who throws himself into every possible extracurricular activity while being, let's say, less successful in the classroom. Delightful, awkward, and surprisingly heartfelt, Rushmore already has much of the style and humour that would come to define Anderson's later films.
