Wooded paths, wild heaths, beautiful lakes and tiny villages of Eversley Forest

Join us for a richly varied walk through the Forest of Eversley, surrounding heathland and historic Hampshire villages. The route explores woodland and open heath near Eversley, where Victorian writer Charles Kingsley wrote The Water Babies. We’ll pass through Hartley Wintney, known for its expansive village green, duck pond, historic buildings, ancient oaks and Hampshire’s oldest cricket club. We'll then cross Hazeley Heath, famed for its wildlife, reminders of its wartime past and views towards the grand Bramshill Estate. Following the River Whitewater, we'll pass gardens and botanical plants before stopping at a beautiful 15th-century timbered church, and ending with an optional, well-earned drink at a local pub. If the hike is full, and you have messaged us and have changed your RSVP to 'Not going', we will refund you, less than the PayPal/Meetup fees.
