Le Roys Bush & Kauri Glen, Northcote loop

Le Roys Bush has now re-opened after extensive work following a major slip. Let's walk a loop starting at Onepoto Domain, up via Kauri Glen and then down through Le Roys Bush past a small waterfall. Mostly gravel paths but could be a bit muddy after rain. Minimum street walking. Walking Time: Approx 2 hours Distance: approx. 8km Graded 1.5 on our 1 - 5 difficulty rating Led by Helen KF. (mob 021 0282 3600), Mike (027 431 9054) and potentially Aria on the day if she's in leader mood :) Here’s the plan: 9.00am - Meet Onepoto Domain 11.00am – Approx finishing time Bring - Normal hiking gear - sturdy footwear with good grip. A hat, raincoat and warm top are useful as this is Auckland and the weather can change fast. Food - Bring your own snacks and water. Carpooling - Please comment when you rsvp whether you need a lift / can offer lifts, which part of Auckland and your mobile number. It’s up to you to arrange this among yourselves. Bring $10 cash for your driver or make arrangements to pay them direct to their bank account. You could also catch public transport to Onewa Road and walk across. If you cancel 24 hours before the event or don't show up this will be treated as a 'no show'. 3 no shows will mean you cannot join an event for 6 months.
