G-O Hike: Love the Peace - Karekare hike for you!

Hello fellow Get-Outsiders! Come join us for a ☮️ hike as we head into summer. If you absolutely love the sounds of nature, this hike will certainly be for YOU! After walking for about an hour along the beach, we will turn back and venture to the Karekare falls where we will have a social lunch and chat. The event will officially finish at 12pm, though you are welcome to stay behind for an optional free-painting session if you want to. There is no swimming planned. IMPORTANT NOTES & UPDATES:- Meet Up Time: 8.00am at the entrance of New World New Lynn, or 8.45am at the Karekare beach carpark in Karekare at the following location (https://goo.gl/maps/VLNGrBpHHj9TvZPK7). Difficulty Rating: Easy, though the sand dunes can give a workout. Suitability: Suitable for beginners with reasonable fitness level. Completion time: We will finish the day at around 12pm with lunch at the Karekare falls. Footwear: Comfortable walking footwear. Drinking Water: Bring your own please. Bring: Drinking water, packed lunch, footwear/clothing suitable for walking, a rain jacket, sunhat, sunscreen, togs and towel for a swim at the falls and/or beach, a camera to take great photos, and your passion for the outdoors! :) Toilets: Public toilets at the start of the track. RSVP to this event: Please only RSVP Yes to this event if you are genuinely intending on coming. If your circumstances change and you are unable to attend please change RSVP asap to allow other people the chance to attend. Once available spaces are full for the event there is a waiting list option you can join. If you RSVP and don't show up or contact us, it will be treated as a 'No Show'. If you NO SHOW and don't contact the Organizers you may be removed from the group. Cellphone Coverage: Cell phone coverage may not be available on parts of the track.
