Welcome to Languages and Coffee, ALM Calgary's indoor Sunday meetup when the weather is not so great 🌬️ It's a chance to practice the languages you're learning, meet people from different backgrounds, and build genuine friendships while enjoying the beautiful Devonian Gardens!
No matter what language you're learning, you'll have the opportunity to put your skills into practice through real conversations in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

🗣️ Practice languages naturally. Enjoy real conversations in a love atmosphere. No classroom, no formal lessons, and no pressure to speak perfectly!

😊 Coming alone? Perfect! Most of our members came to their first ALM event not knowing anybody. When you arrive, introduce yourself to Cody and he'll help get you connected.

🚶 How does it work?

When you RSVP, please indicate which language or languages you'd like to practise.
I'll organize language-specific groups based on everyone's preferences, making it easier to find people to talk with in your target language.
Our one main rule: speak the language of your walking group! This helps everyone get the most out of the experience and gives everyone a chance to practice.
Want to practise more than one language? Feel free to move between groups!
For the best experience, you should be able to hold at least a simple conversation in your target language. You don't need to be fluent, and making mistakes is completely fine!

Be kind and considerate. Harassment, aggressive behaviour, intimidation, and conduct that makes others feel unsafe or uncomfortable will not be tolerated.

Repeated no-shows without notice may result in removal from the group.
