Book Club and 5km Run

MVARC Book Club meets the 3rd Sunday of each month. We'll meet at the Mountain View library at 9AM with book discussion at 10 in Pioneer Park. The books are chosen by the attendees a few months in advance, and we mix non-fiction and fiction on an alternating basis. It's also a good intro to Mountain View Area Run Club and for running in a group. It's usually a small group at an easy pace. We don't judge if you didn't read the book ;) 2026 Books- January- Breakneck by Dan Wang February- Piranesi by Susanna Clark March- 1929 by Andrew Ross Sorkin April- Neuromancer by William Gipson May- The 99% Invisible City, the Hidden World of Everyday Design by Roman Mars and Kurt Kohlstedt June- Theo of Golden July- Apple in China August- Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman September- Careless People by Sarah Wynn We meet behind the Mountain View Library at 9AM. We run down Church St, Mercy Street and to the Stevens Creek Trail, follow it for a mile or so to Central and then loop back to Castro / Bryant Street. Total distance is 3.1 miles at an easy pace. At 10, we congregate to chat about the book at the colorful chairs in front of the Center for Performing Arts. Some people will get coffee in town prior to the book discussion.
