Mount Agamenticus

This will be the challenging hike on the Maine swing. We start at the main parking lot where there are bathrooms. We begin a loop on the west side of the ring trail. This trail has an ongoing story posted along the trail. It rotates so we'll see what story we get, in the past I've seen stories about conservation and butterflies. We leave the ring trail halfway through and take Vulture's View down to the bottom. From there we hike along the cedar trail to the porcupine trail to a series of trails on a loop over third hill. We then proceed over second hill and ascend to the top of Mt. Agamenticus where we have lunch.

After lunch we descend back down to the ring trail to complete that loop and finish the story! This area is an old ski mountain so we'll observe the now abandoned lift on the way.
