Leading Design Firm: Pentagram Partner Harry Pearce on the Kyōto YouMe Triennale Logo Making & Design Thinking Workshop

世界的なデザインファーム「Pentagram」のパートナーであるハリー・ピアース氏をロンドンから迎え、「Kyōto YouMe Triennale」のシンボルロゴがどのような対話と思考の旅を経て生まれたのか、その制作秘話を初公開します。
また、彼自身のデザインに対する考え方や今回の重信会館での展示についての想いを語ります。後半では、質疑応答を実施します。

We are pleased to welcome Harry Pierce, a partner at the global design consultancy “Pentagram,” from London to reveal for the first time the behind-the-scenes story of how the “Kyōto YouMe Triennale” logo came to be—including the dialogue and thought process that led to its creation. He will also share his personal philosophy on design and his thoughts on this exhibition at the Jushin Kaikan. The event will conclude with a Q&A session.

■登壇者プロフィール
ハリー・ピアース（Harry Pearce）

グラフィックデザイナー、アーティスト、アクシデンタリスト、フォトグラファー、そして根っからの楽観主義者。2016年から、イギリスのデザイン社『ペンタグラム』のパートナーとして、ロイヤル・アカデミー・オブ・アーツ、グッゲンハイム美術館、リバティ、ピンク・フロイド・レコード、国連など、多岐にわたるクライアントを対象に、ブランドアイデンティティの構築、インスタレーション、ポスター、パッケージ、書籍、講演など、デザインの様々な分野で活動している。

Harry Pearce is a graphic designer, artist, accidentalist, eternal optimist and photographer at Pentagram since2016 as a partner, working in various fields of design such as devising identities, installations, posters,packaging books and talks for multiple clients, including the Royal Academy of Arts, Guggenheim, Liberty, Pink Floyd Records and the UN.
