Celebrating the 160th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Italy and Japan

About the Forum

On the occasion of the 160th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Italy and Japan, the Consulate General of Italy in Osaka, together with Nakanoshima Qross and in cooperation with Prof. Giuseppe Pezzotti is pleased to invite you to attend the Biomedical Engineering Innovation and Longevity Forum.

The Forum will bring together leading experts from Italy and Japan to explore how biomedical engineering, clinical expertise and technological innovation can contribute to healthier and longer lives, while fostering new opportunities for cooperation between researchers, clinicians and industry.

Healthy longevity is a global challenge of growing importance. Italy and Japan, both characterized by some of the world’s longest-lived populations, are particularly well placed to contribute to the development of innovative solutions. Progress in this field depends on our ability to detect disease earlier, better understand its mechanisms, improve treatment, and preserve or restore function. Biomedical engineering plays a central role across all these areas.

The Forum will also highlight the contribution of Politecnico di Torino, a university with a strong tradition of interdisciplinary collaboration between engineering and medicine. Its expertise in mechanical engineering, electronics and telecommunications, information technology, chemistry and physics provides a solid platform for translating scientific and technological knowledge into solutions for clinical needs.
By bringing together researchers, clinicians and industry representatives from Italy and Japan, the Forum aims to encourage dialogue, foster new partnerships and support future collaboration in biomedical engineering, medical technologies and longevity-related innovation.

日伊外交関係樹立160周年を記念し、在大阪イタリア総領事館は、中之島クロス、ジュゼッペ・ペッツォッティ教授のご協力のもと、「Health Longevity and Biomedical Engineering Innovation Forum」を開催いたします。
つきましては、ぜひご参加くださいますようご案内申し上げます。

本フォーラムでは、イタリアと日本を代表する専門家が一堂に会し、バイオメディカルエンジニアリング、臨床の知見、そしてイノベーションが、ヘルシーロンジェビティ（健康長寿）にどのように貢献できるかを探ります。あわせて、研究者・臨床医・産業界の間に新たな協力の機会を生み出すことを目指します。

ヘルシーロンジェビティは、重要性を増しつつある世界共通の課題です。世界有数の長寿国であるイタリアと日本は、革新的な解決策の創出に貢献するうえで、特に適した立場にあります。この分野の進歩は、疾患をより早期に発見し、そのメカニズムを解明して適切な治療を行い、機能を維持・回復させる力にかかっています。バイオメディカルエンジニアリングは、そのすべてにおいて重要な役割を担っています。

また本フォーラムでは、工学と医学の学際的な連携に長い伝統を持つトリノ工科大学の取り組みも紹介いたします。機械工学、電子・通信工学、情報工学、化学、物理学にわたる同大学の専門性は、科学技術の知見を臨床ニーズに応える解決策へとつなげる確かな基盤となっています。
