KOTTO is the new chapter of an artist who has spent decades living behind the decks. Formerly known as DJ AIK, he built his reputation through years in the club scene and around the world, developing the instinct that separates a DJ who plays records from one who knows how to move a room. Now operating as KOTTO, that experience has evolved into a distinctive sound somewhere between melodic house, Afro house, Afrobeat and hip-hop — deep, hypnotic grooves built for sunset sessions, late-night journeys and full-scale dancefloor moments. The new identity arrived with serious momentum. In September 2025, KOTTO teamed up with KIDFLO, CIZA and Major League DJz on the official remix of CIZA's “Isaka (6am),” released through Untitled Audio/LVRN. The record quickly became one of the standout Afro-house IDs of the moment, finding its way into sets from the Keinemusik crew and appearing in playlists and DJ sets across the global scene. Spotify currently lists the remix at roughly 285,000 streams in the latest indexed snapshot, while KIDFLO himself has passed 100,000 monthly listeners. And the story doesn't stop there. KOTTO and KIDFLO also joined forces on the “Jealousy” remix, another record that has circulated heavily through the Afro-house ecosystem. KOTTO's own catalogue is already receiving support from names including &ME, Rampa and the wider Keinemusik orbit — a strong signal of where this project is heading. With 64,804 monthly listeners at the time of the original profile and a growing catalogue of records built for the world's most important dancefloors, KOTTO is not looking back at his history — he's using it as fuel.
