This Friday 18 September, Secret Gem brings the community together at Dance Station to celebrate Chile’s Fiestas Patrias with a special DJ lineup, plenty of dancing and piscolas at the bar. Round up your parthner and come down for electro cumbia, old-school reggaeton and tropical sounds (some cueca of course), with an Afro house opening set to get things moving. Line Up: DJ Raff A key figure in Chile’s hip-hop and electronic music scenes, London-based DJ Raff connects Afro-Latin percussion, inventive sampling and hypnotic electronic grooves. His music has travelled from Santiago to Sónar, MUTEK and Lollapalooza—and his track Latino & Proud became the theme to Broad City. A very special guest for our Dieciocho. Alonso Abroad Our fellow Chilean selector joins the celebration with influences spanning funk, nu-disco and tech house. With groove at the heart of his sound, Alonso brings another flavour to the night’s Chilean contingent. Cal Jader — Movimientos One of the people behind Movimientos and co-host of Love Carnival, Cal Jader has spent years championing Latin American music on London’s dance floors. His selections bring together Latin rhythms, tropical sounds and global bass—a fitting guest for a community that knows how to celebrate. Steve Rosè - opening set Secret Gem’s own Steve Rosè opens with Afro house, setting the rhythm for the night ahead. Come early, find your people and settle into the groove. ¿Y las piscolas?
