Have you ever wondered where museums and collections get their information from?
Our panel illustrates the path that scientific knowledge takes from the field to the public. Our summer experiences spanned from collecting crabs in a salt marsh, caring for zoo animals, inventorying the plants of a botanic garden, all the way to creating a display on 20th-century paleobotanical fossils using archival research. We will discuss the intersection of history and science, and our experience in navigating the current job market for the natural sciences. Come learn about the birds, the trees, and everything in between!
