Guided walk around Knaresborough + lunch option - 4 miles approx

NEW WALK!! A stroll around town whilst listening to me rabbit on about this & that!! Afterwards, there is the option to join a pre-booked lunch at Six Poor Folks bistro & café. I will (hopefully) be booking a table shortly and will then confirm how many lunch spots are available. If you would like a lunch spot, please post a message on this webpage. The lunch option is open to Group members who have paid their £10 annual membership fee so no guests permitted. The walk will be led at a steady pace: not too fast, not too slow. Please be ready to start walking at the advertised time. Walk fee: £2. No dogs please. No breaks on this walk. Start point: we will convene by Knaresborough Castle. Parking: several options, the cheapest of which are: Waterside £1.40. A three minute walk to our start point via a lot of steps! York Pace £1.70 an eleven minute walk to our start point. The closest/easiest walks are from the adjoining car parks of Fisher Place/Chapel Street (£2.40 each) but these are also the busiest as they are in the centre of town. Toilets available at three locations: close to the castle, close to Waterside car park and at York Place car park. I have no formal walk leader or first aid qualifications and the Group does not have insurance. When you RSVP for any walk, you accept that you remain responsible for your own safety at all times. You are required to respect the walk leader and be mindful of the safety of others. Please keep to the pace of the group and don’t go off ahead even if you think you know the route.
