🎲 Board Games & Language Exchange in Okachimachi | XI-SAI

Play Games. Meet People.

Spend a Thursday evening around a game table in Okachimachi. Come on your own or with a friend; we’ll help you find a game and people to play with.
Beginners and solo participants are very welcome. Your host, Yuya, can explain the rules in both English and Japanese, so you can enjoy playing even if the games are new to you.
No need to bring a game or speak both languages. Just bring yourself and something to drink.

Participation fee: ¥2,000 per person

Please pay in cash at the venue on the day.
Please note the new venue for October 8: Okachimachi, not our previous Asakusa venue. Entry starts at 7:30 PM. Setup and cleanup are included in the event time; we must leave by 10:30 PM. Capacity is 12 people including the host (up to 11 guests across Meetup and LINE).

Food & Drinks

You are welcome to bring your own food and drinks. Please bring your own drink, such as tea or water. No alcohol or smoking. Please take your rubbish home.
We also plan to prepare a few bread rolls for anyone who did not have time to eat dinner—and as prizes for the game winners! 🥐🏆

Meet Your Host

Hi, I’m Yuya. I spent about three years in the Bay Area.
When I was studying in the US, Meetup language exchanges and local communities helped me meet new people. I also enjoyed inviting friends over for board game nights while working there.
I love board games and escape rooms. Some of my favorite games are Scout, Splendor, and Ra. Through XI-SAI, I hope to create a welcoming place where playing together makes it easier for people to get to know one another.

木曜の夜、御徒町でボードゲームを囲みませんか。お一人でも、お友達と一緒でも。遊ぶゲームや席は、主催者がご案内します。
お一人での参加やボードゲーム初心者の方も大歓迎です。主催のYuyaが日本語・英語の両方でルールを説明しますので、初めて遊ぶゲームでも安心してご参加いただけます。
ゲームの持参や、英語・日本語の両方を話せることは必要ありません。飲み物を持って、気軽にお越しください。

参加費：お一人2,000円

参加費は当日、会場で現金でお支払いください。
10月8日は、これまでの浅草の会場から御徒町の会場に変わります。入室は19:30から。準備・片付けを含む時間のため、22:30までに退室します。定員は幹事を含め12名（Meetup・LINE合計でゲスト11名まで）です。

飲食について

食べ物・飲み物は自由にお持ち込みいただけます。お茶やお水など、ご自身の飲み物をご持参ください。飲酒・喫煙は禁止です。ゴミは各自お持ち帰りください。
夕食を食べる時間がなかった方や、ゲームに勝った方のために、パンもいくつかご用意する予定です🥐🏆

主催者について

主催のYuyaです。以前、約3年間アメリカのベイエリアで生活していました。
留学中は、Meetupの言語交流イベントや地域のコミュニティを通じて、さまざまな人と知り合うことができました。現地で働いていた頃には、友人を招いてボードゲーム会を開くことも楽しんでいました。
ボードゲームと脱出ゲームが好きで、特にSCOUT、宝石の煌き、ラーがお気に入りです。
XI-SAIを通じて、ボードゲームをきっかけに自然と会話が生まれ、気軽につながれる場所をつくりたいと思っています。
