North Dalton (Wolds) + Lunch (see details) - 7 miles

NEW WALK!! This is an undemanding walk in the Wolds with just one (very) short, steep climb. A straightforward walk along field paths, access roads/tracks whilst following part of the Minster Way and a route through Deep Dale. No stiles!

Location: North Dalton is located on the B1246 between Pocklington & Driffield and is also accessible from the A166 via Huggate.

The walk will be led at a steady pace: not too fast, not too slow. Please be ready to start walking at the advertised time.

Walk fee: £3. No dogs please. Feel free to bring snacks/drink with you although we won’t be having a morning break on this walk as the walking is very straightforward and we will be arriving at our lunch stop by midday.

Lunch stop: for lunch, something a bit different! We’ll be patronising the Field House Farm venue which has a full range of lunch items/snacks/cakes available. It even has a bar!

After-walk refreshment: if you wish to have a drink after the walk, we can go to The Star Inn at North Dalton, just round the corner from our starting point so within walking distance or you could take the car round there.

Parking/Start point: North Dalton village hall car park. In effect, the Hall has two car parks with separate entry points adjacent to one another. Car sharing recommended as there is room for a maximum 20 cars in the car park assuming nobody else is using it. Parking fee: donations invited. Postcode is YO25 9UY.

The finish time of the walk assumes we will be at our lunch venue for an hour but this will be subject to how many attend the walk and how busy the venue is.
