Hello fellow Get‑Outsiders! Let's enjoy spring with a walk through Northcote, linking together three different parks - Kauri Glen Reserve, Onepoto Domain, and Le Roys Bush Reserve. We will meet at the Tui Glen Road entrance to Kauri Glen Reserve (parking at the end of the road) then follow the pathways through Kauri Glen Reserve and Cecil Eady Bush. We will then cross Lake Road and continue on the pathway through to Onepoto Domain where we will do a short loop through the wetlands and bush. From here we head out to Onewa Road and down some of the local streets to Little Shoal Bay Reserve and from here into Le Roys Bush Reserve past the waterfall and back out to Onewa Road and down into Kauri Glen Reserve back to the cars. This is a reasonably easy, social outing rather than a full-on hike. The paths are mostly boardwalk, gravel, or paved. The walk is about 2.5-3 hours depending on stops for toilets and possibly ice cream.
